Addi Somekh was born in Hollywood, California in 1972. At the age of nineteen, he became a balloon twister when he realized he could make people laugh, make money without having a boss, and still shave only once a week.

Charlie Eckert is a third generation Queens, New Yorker. After making the rounds at various art schools, he found that photography best served as a release for his creative energy. His future goals are to continue to make art that opens the lines of communication amongst different peoples. Check out his digital portfolio at www.charleseckert.com.

Andy Vermouth worked as
a designer and art director for large corporate
entities before happening upon the Balloonhat
project purely by chance in West Africa. He
journaled an account
of that trip, and began working with Addi and
Charlie in several subsequent countries on their
global itinerary. He is the producer/director
of the award-winning
documentary
film about the Balloonhat project. In addition,
he serves as editor of Zebrameat,
an online quarterly exploring American culture.
