Prints

The Lightjet 5000 prints directly from disk to photographic paper without the need of a negative or transparency. By eliminating the intermediate film, film processing and enlargement stages, there is no loss of a generation in quality so images are sharp and accurate. We use Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper with the Lightjet 5000 because it achieves unparalleled performance by its ability to deliver outstanding image quality and unsurpassed color stability. Superb whites, bright clean highlights and rich true blacks, plus excellent contrast and sharpness create a dramatic sense of clarity and three-dimensionality. Long life color stability is a concern for digital and photographic prints. In recent tests conducted by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Crystal Archive paper was rated at a 60 year display-life, nearly twice the longevity of all Iris, inkjet, and photo materials tested.
